Inverter..do it yourself job???

Things are getting a little quiet in here. I sure hope you are out doing your homework before class meets again.
Specifically, here are the lessons we want to make sure you are reviewing.
1: Voltage meter reading. You did buy a volt meter, right?
2: Owners manual review. Download one if you can't find one. Just google the name & model + installation Deterinstructions
3: Proposed location of the inverter.
4: What is being used for a disconnect device (really big switch), and circuit protection device, and cables. If you inverter is the Freedom HF 1800, the manual says the disconnect and protection devices should be rated for 400 amps (I checked).
5: You have two discreet 120v AC connections to review, the input for your charger, and the output for the inverter. Your next review will be on these items. Remember, if you connect the output of your inverter to your existing panel, you will be using the inverter to power your existing charger, your water heater, and your hot tub.
If you don't want to work on this stuff, you are just begging for more trouble. Hope you have a great weekend.
