We don't come and go during the 2 hours before and 2 hours after low tide. It sucks to be beholden to the tide Gods, but we love our marina and don't want to go anywhere else.
Funny I said the same thing and yet this year I'm moving to deeper water. Waiting for tides sucks there are no if and or buts about it. My big fear was I would get an emergency call and I would not be able to make it there in a reasonable time because I had to wait for tides to come back.
