Is it time yet?

Caryl you go Girl!

John I see you zoomed in on the price. They whacked us for 5.48 when we left. It will be interesting to see what Spring prices look like. That was the highest price we paid last year, and we have seen nothing that high. Bahamas are close to 3 bucks a gallon now. Timing is everything they say...

David Yes Jeff and Cheryl are still there as far as we know. The town dock is good for many reasons but if you have kids RYB is better.

I also planned on doing some bottom scraping on Saturday, but those plans abrubtly changed.

I was doing some painting in an upstairs hallway at home on Friday, when I fell off of a 2' ladder and fractured my left shoulder. Now it will be at least 40 days until "anything" comes off. Spent 25+ years working three and four hundred feet in the air without an accident, only to fall from a a two foot step ladder, (the flight of stairs did'nt help). Now I'm learning how to type with one hand.

Butch; Maybe we can get Caryl to give Brandy a few pointers?

On the bright side; If it had to happen, the timing could'nt have been better.

There will be no bottom work until the ice, snow, puddles and mud go away. Way too early guys.

I know everyone's eager to get going but this year has had more snow that I can remember.

Plan on St. Pattys day.

I was thinking the same thing Dan. Bright side is if you have to be injured, now is the time. No more home projects...Heal quick Pete...

Pete sorry about the injury and heal up good so you can get back to important things like boating.

Pete, you really have to be careful when you get older :) Those broken bones don't heal as fast.
Hang in there and don't rush things. Plenty of time left before boating begins.

Where did Jonathan go?? I guess old age must be catching up to you!

There was hardly any snow or ice around my boat. I'll be up there in early March getting the cover off, the electronics back on, and prepping for launch.

WAs just talking to Caryl about when the cover comes off. Killing me not doing it now but figure will wait till 1st week or so..

Butch,

That is the most expensive sewing table I have ever seen!!!

See what happen when you don't play pool!

Looks like a sheet on top of a pool table? What no more pool? PS if it was up to me I'd build a stand next to it so the machine table was flush with the big table to ease pulling the panels through. Every canvas shop I've been to does it that way. Hope she ain't lookin' here... I know keepa you yap shut!

It's funny that Pennybridge has all that built up ice in the marina and no snow on the ground, but on the other side of the bay, the marinas are pretty free of ice and have snow and ice around all the boats.

Why the blue tarp on your boat Mike? Did the cover give way and tear?

Yep, it finally showed its age and tore right down the middle.

Must be the way the sun hits the ground.

How old is the cover Mike? Trying to get an idea as to how long my Fisher cover will last.

I've had it for 10 years, and it had a number of years on it when I bought it.

Mine did the same thing Mike. The duck canvas got dried out and happened during a bad snow year like we are having.

John, that cover should go 10 years easy.

Dan I was going to set the machine flat but Caryl did not want it that way. She said leave it so I am not the one to argue. I built a frame that lays in the table (2 Piece) and put A cover under it to protect the felt. Take 2 minutes to remove it. Nice thing is I now have a ping pong table as well. I figured it made a better sewing table than a folding table for the laundry.

Every day we are one day closer. It's a short month March is almost here. Time to get to work.[:-hspin]

~22 more days until the shrink wrap comes off. A good hull polishing, touch up the bottom paint, charge the batteries and we will be ready for a hopeful April 1st launching. There will be water in the slip by then - right? :)
