My friend in Lindenhurst just texted me. He lives on the canal next to the Anchorage across from the Sewage plant.I think its Venetian. He has 8 ft of water in front of his house already. Say a prayer lots of people there are going to loose everything.

We just got news that the water is up to the deck at our condo in Copiague. We have friends in Massapequa that have fish swimming in their garage now.

Just got word from my old neighbors in Copiague.......they have 4' of water in their basements. My old house is a washout.

Good Luck to all you guys up there !!!!

Don, we just heard the water came to within a foot of getting into the condo but there was 2-3 feet in the street. Lots of cars got ruined.

Dang Don. Didn't you just sell recently? If so you should buy a lottery ticket. Seems you just got out in time.

Dave was just at the AYC
His boat sunk as did most
Marina had a fire main building burnt down
All boats on land on d dock are gone

Sad guys...

Let me know if there's anything that can be done to help from afar...

Dave was there as mentioned, he says my boat is fine. Seems the big boats faired well. I will contact u
If yo want to pm me your cell I will text you

Walter.....what buildin was on fire ? The office or repair building ? What a sad day.

Commercial unit is what Dave told me, he said still on fire when he was there at 9am this morning

WOW, that sucks, there was massive devistation in Stony Point, our marina is gone! We moved next door on Saturday and are told we are fine, but have not been able to get to the boat yet.

Where will you put it even if you can get it! The CG moved the Sandy Hook station up to the RYB from what I hear.

I hear the Rockaways and Broad Channel took it hard.

Jackson's Marina in Hampton Bays was underwater this morning. Spellmans had the South dock tear off the wall and float into the North dock.

Shinnecock Canal was topping out and spilling into the west parking area.

I finally waded down to my dock this afternoon. The police wouldn't let cars south of Montauk Highway, so I had to hoof it down.
The boat looks like it came through fine. Still a couple of feet of water on my dock so I couldn't get aboard, but it looks like running lines to the other side of the canal saved me.
My dock is a mess with a lot of debris floating around. My fence is trashed but looks like a pretty eaay fix. My shed got turned around and fell over face down, but at least it's still there. I tied it to a utility pole Sunday and it looks like it mept it from floating to Gilgo. I have to figure out how to get it upright and out of the way in the next day or so before I have the boat hauled.
I'm going to try to start the cleanup in the morning if the tide goes out.
Blocks down by my dock are devastated. Some blocked up boats were knocked over, and some that were in the water when the storm started were in the roadway or up on the ground when it was over.
No power at home and very sketchy cell service so trying to put this through my iPhone. Can't post pictures now, but the ones I took weren't pretty.
Kehl's Marine on Montauk had lots of boats knocked over, and I saw boats in the middle of the blocks down some of the side streets in that area.
I also saw a couple of boats hugging the bullhead up by the Cattleman. Looks like they broke loose anw wound up there. One was pretty big, the smaller one looked like an older 34 Silverton.
As devastating as it all is, it's a miracle that there weren't more fatalities.
