Last night was the last night forever of another cool boating destination - Molly Malones Bay Shore. I didn't want to believe it, but I confirmed on the website.

Well....... it was the land of " no ". So now it's NO more.

Just saying

I didn't get there but the place was hopping with its docks full, along with some boats tied beam on to the parking lot bulkhead.

That is a bummer. I only got there once and it was somewhere I was hoping to get back to.

I would love to see a sticky created that covers the various destinations that we can visit by area...this way we can all know the locations' positive/negatives. For example, I still haven't visited anywhere in Babylon because I don't know if there's a place to dock with enough water for me.

Jeff,
A lot people to go POPEI'S in long beach ...

Rob

Not popei's, POPS!
But POPS I heard was closed for the season.

I was at Molly malones recently, I wonder why they closed.

I don't know, friends went there and it was closed.
Looks like a Nice place.
We passed it last year heading to Liberty Landing on Inside.

We keep losing places. Molly's was a new one I found and liked.

Bummer :(

Aww, Dave was that the place we went to three or four weeks ago? Good food, and nice people.

Yes, it was. Was better than Nicky's. Seems alot of places are closing after Sandy, look at Thatched Cottage. Where is insurance to cover the damage? We are rescuing homes, but what about some of the businesses by the water damaged by this? They need help too!

Damn... Web site said October . All well , I m wealth of wrong info

I read Peter's Farewell. If it's any reflection of the style and quality of the business, the commitment and integrity of the owner, it's a big loss. So many places are contact-paper-over-particle-board chains and franchises. They may be fun, but they don't match the ones where the owner pours out heart and soul day and day, week and week, out.

I used to go to Molly's all the time. We went by boat only 3 times, but always a bit off season like mid-late September. But we would go often to their Sunday brunch by car in-between boating seasons. We live in Brightwaters and it was close. I was never disappointed by the food or service. Sad to see them close.

Don, why the land of no ? I think you may be speaking about Ocean Beach. This was on the mainland in Bayshore. Maybe I missed something but never had any issues there. OB is a very different story !!

Let' go, I will take my boat, you hop off, grab sign.
Bring a screwdriver!

Dang! That was such an excellent place to go, what with enough places to dock the boat, this really is a bummer! I would go 5 -6 times a season. Now what? We sure are losing alot of options mainly because of Sandy. I hate you Sandy!

Brad.....they had a sign on the deck.... NO tank tops NO sandals NO something else . Went there one time in July with 4 work buddy's ( 5 hungry and thirsty guys total ) and we all had on tank tops or cut offs and they asked us to leave...... Just pissed me off and never went back. NO big deal.
