No boat parking ordinance?

Drastic times calls for drastic measures.

Line your front property with plastic Pink flamingos, donkey and jockey planters. See how the neighbors like that.

Naaaaa...I just send the dogs out to use the front lawn as a bathroom. Nothing like fresh fertilizer to keep the lawn growing. After all Im on the boat all summer so it does not bother me...

Inspection day today. I moved the boat next door to my Dad's house, which actually complies with the ordinance wording. We'll see what happens. Happy New Year everyone.

Good luck and Happy New Year to you.

If you can get the ordinance changed your problem is solved. I live in an area that vigorously enforces similiar ordinances re: tradesman's trucks, boat trailers, boats, campers, etc. The village goes so far as to not allow overnight parking on village streets unless you call the PD and let them know in advance. I am happy that the rules are enforced.
If I wanted any of the above parked in my front yard or my neighbor's I would have moved elsewhere 25 years ago.

We had an inspector here that lived in the community, and he refused to approve our deck replacement, and I reminded him of the day I stood and watched him drop an engine block in the creek for a mooring. Asked if he wanted to see the video, and it was signed in 2 days. Lucky break.

Ya can't fight city hall. Talked to the guy today. He said because my Dad's house is a corner lot, it actually has two front lines of the dwelling (??) and therefore does not comply with the ordinance. Seemed a little hokey to me, but I don't think I'm going to push the envelop on this one. I asked him how much the fine was, and while he didn't answer me, he did say that he could impose it every 24 hours until the situation was rectified. Oh well.

Who did you piss off?

The neighbors. Us taxpayers are footing the bill to maintain their private road. They are not nice neighbors and I'm tired of them, so I began raising the issue with the town council. They are fighting fire with fire - can't blame 'em. We'll see who comes out on top.

1. That and thirty seven dollars will get you a Starbucks.

I know what he is trying to say BUT (see #1).

What is important and the only relevant thing here is WHAT defines frontage in the city ordinance.

I guess you forgot the envelope. Every inspector likes getting gifts!

Pat, put a flower in it and tell them it's a "planter"

What's the rules if you put a temp. shed over the boat it it's not seen, you can get those canvas sheds and install quick.
