Strange thing going on regarding winterizing my
fresh water system. The yard pumped the tank as dry as possible, dumped in gallons of pink and ran thru the supply system only to have it come out crystal clear. Not even a tinge of pink.
They tested the clear water with a antifreeze hydrometer and it shows the clear liquid to be good down to - 50 degrees.
They asked if I used any special water treatment that the residual might possibly change the color of the antifreze? I did use chlorine bleach twice over the summer to freshen the tank but that was long gone.
So the question is , what could be the reason that the pink lost its color?
