Jonathan, yes to all! Currently on Guana Cay for a month.
While we have Nippers, Grabbers, and the Crossroads, they don't have the menu diversity one can find in Kingston NY on the way to the Finger lakes.
For example, they specialize in prime rib and conch fritters down here, and do them especially well, but in Kingston it seems the sushi grade tuna is better for unknown reasons.
But when one gets up the Hudson as far as the Troy lock, and stops at Waterford, one may find that Guana Cay has better docking facilities although they are not free as they are at Waterford.
Down here at Orchid Bay, if you plop down a 1000 bucks, you get free dockage for the month and all of the incidentals, like water, electric, fuel (4.40/gal diesel) and even the restaurant when open are taken from that deposit of 1000 bucks.
While back at Kingston one can get a free ride from the Rondout Yacht Basin over to the restaurants at the Historic water front where the maritime museum is.
The pool at the Orchid Bay Resort and Marina is smaller than the pool at the Rondout Yacht Basin but the view from the pool is better at Orchid Bay.
By the way, they offer rooms on site here at Orchid Bay while in Kingston one has to travel across the creek from the Rondout Yacht Basin to take advantage of the B&Bs in the waterfront area.
Mike did I do good?
