Post your Carver pictures!!!

Nice ride. I'd like to see a close up of how you mounted your dinghy outboard.

Bruce, your boat is beautiful!!! That's the 2 stateroom model, correct???

I used to own a Carver.

God there are some beautiful boats posted here. I wonder if anyone from Carver HQ has
ever seen this thread!!!

Running the official carver site as they do I hope not

Why, is it that bad??? At least they have all those brochures and stuff...

It is kind of surprising that more boat builders do not sponsor some kind of official web site for boatowners.

Have they not heard that boatowners are fiercely brand loyal, regardless of the age of the boat, and would probably spend their last dime on their boats?

Here is a picture taken in Port Stanley, Ontario on Canada Day - July 1 - Great time!

Pete: you are correct it is only their "owners forum" i dont like. Highly edited with only new owners
gushing about their new boat allowed.

Tom - Sorry it's taken so long, but here's a close-up of the engine mount in the cockpit. if you would like more pics (maybe without the engine), let me know. the previous owner installed it and it's rock solid. however, handling that motor is tough since it weighs close to 80 lbs. i've since installed a swivel mount on the transom of the dinghy and keep the motor attached there and swung up out of the way (except when the dinghy is off for fishing and, believe it or not, tubing with the kiddies). what you cannot see on the mount is a rod that extends to the right and bolts to the outside of the cabin to provide stability. there's also a bar you can see with a black end on it. that's not part of the mount. it was a bbq mount (so they mounted a mount to a mount).

Pete - Yes, it's the 2 stateroom model and the 2nd stateroom is under the setee. it's cave-like but it's great for little ones (as well as providing a bunch of extra storage space). i believe they only made the 2 stateroom models from 1996 to 1999. that's the year they moved the galley from forward port to aft starboard in the salon and changed over to a full-sized fridge. the boat is layed out great inside and out.

I love the various pic's of these Carvers - someday I'll be able to trade up to one of those beauties. Missing summer already in Michigan, and only rolled her into storage 3 weeks ago...

Here's our 1982 Carver 3607 Aft Cabin. We've been refurbing her for 4 years now. Winter projects, and lots of Summer relaxation time for our old gal!

Sorry Pete. Pics transferred a little too big. How do I reduce the size for future posts?
