Post your Carver pictures!!!

I love that 40' 3607!!!

Regarding emailing pics to me - if someone needs help I'll surely help you out - that
way your pics don't get left out. But if you can figure it out by using a site like
Photobucket, that would be most appreciated...

Nice name!!!

PS - I love the bike rack. Care to elaborate on it???

Thanks, we have a little Key West attitude in Chicago....

The bike rack is an invention from a fellow boater in our harbor. It works great - the bikes are stored over the water, then spins to get at them. Here's the link:

I'm new to the site, I'm enjoying the posts.

Hey Bob, I love that lighting scheme on the transom!!!

With boats like the Trojan and Montego series, I don't understand why Carver got out of the Express Cruiser market. There are many of us out there that now have to rely on good used product. Sure... They don't say Sea Ray on the side...but in my opinion, that's a good thing.

Thanks Walter and Kenny.

My wife and I said that same thing. Why did they stop making this model. I guess the Marquis has now taken that spot. The three major items we love are the 3 staterooms, the lazarrette/garage, and the 15' beam.

I guess there is no need to post mine it looks then same as Bobs but why are you in my slip?

Carvers have so much room on the inside.
Good storage, good sitting, good sleeping arrangements.

We are now considering a 1988 3257 Montego...the owner passed and wife wants a smaller boat and will take ours in as part of payment...it's a really good deal, just have to consider a few things before we decide

Kenny,
We loved our 1988 3257 because of the room it provided. I would suggest if you are looking at one make sure you have 454's and a generator. You can run at 27-28 miles an hour all day long and only turn 3150-3250 on the rpms.

Dave,
That was last years picture when we were hauling out. Post your pictures, that's why the thread is there.

Thanks Dave...I have one in mind..454's but no genny...room to add it and it's already wired for it. The deal is a sweet one, but I have to wait to see if a prior prospect "wins". If I do by chance get it, it will cost me less than my 2757, and that is a good thing!

So...the deal is over on the 3257 Montego...turns out it was run REALLY hard and broke stringers in places where you can't get to them to repair. AND, the side decks are soft (rotten) from mid cockpit all the way up past the windshield on both sides. PLUS, there's ALOT of bad dock rash on the port side...est. of $5000 to repair just the rash...sooo not worth it as there are plenty of nice ones out there for sale.

Beautiful 34 Santego...I loved when they went to the lighter blue in 1989 and 1990. Looks like it's in top condition!

Thanks Kenny!

I had the blue painted on and had the whole boat buffed and waxed. I'm in the middle of replacing the dash in a grey carbon fiber with white engraved lettering and new teleflex gauges. Did you notice the rear fender hatch covers? Had them made locally by a guy that made them for Carver back in the day. Removed the bad windscreen and installed s.s. hand rail. Inside she has the light blue colors with new white carpet. New drapes and tinted the glass. I didn't want to trust a one way valve, so the head has it's own fresh water tank and tank montiors on every tank. I also increased the size of the drain pipe and sump to the shower. No more standing smelly water. Central vac and new frig. to keep the admiral happy. (as you can see, she likes to drive)
