Rain, rain, go away...

It hurt me too and it's your fault. You started it by makng me think. :D

The Catskill Creek was remarkably calm today and things returned to semi-normal rather quickly, although anyone out in the river stood the chance of having their day ruined with the abundant debris.

Hop-O-Nose pulled the boats off each other and there was no catastrophic damage. While the docks that connect Catskill Marina's main docks with those in front of the townhouses were not able to be reconnected and likely won't be before the end of the season, everyone has water and power.

The Donzi that was almost on its side righted itself last night and sustained little damage, save some minor scratches. The fishing boat was unscathed and the damage to the Rinker was less than I would have expected:

Debris caused a blow boat to drag its mooring near where the creek meets the river and it landed in the shallows. This is about an hour and a half before low tide and it wasn't off its keel at high tide:

The upside is, no one was hurt. You quickly find that zen place where you are reminded that, while not insignificant, these are material possessions that can be replaced, and things certainly could have been much worse.

Well went to the boat today not happy about what I found. My port side bow line broke and starboard side bow rail had some damage. Can anyone recommend someone to repair stainless rails looks like a major PIA to fix.
Boat near me had had a slip mate break free and did some significant damage to his hull. I didn't think it was that bad of a storm but we get hit pretty hard.

I need to get estimate for the insurance claim I don't know who to call for this kind of work.

To make matters worse on my way home from the marina my wife called to tell me her car was hit when she ran into CVS for a couple of minutes. Of coarse the driver didn't stick around to let her know. So I now have to make two claims in one day. I'm happy I have two different providers what a day.

It's another beautiful day today! Blue skies, and as long as you can get out of the wind, it is quite warm!
