Reserve your slip for next season?

Ah gee thanks Hogan.

That's much better than when my dockmates call me crazy or insane for going out when the wind is more than 10 knots or a cloud is on the horizon! ;)

So Hogan.. How many times did you get off the dock last season? How many nights out on the hook...?

Hogan logs everything on the boat. I'm sure he'll have the exact number for you shortly!

I know, I think I remember his numbers this year were very disappointing.

In spite of it being one of the coldest and rainest summers that I can ever remember, we managed to have a pretty good season.

We bought a new boat, and managed to sleep on our boat(s) 72 nights! We only anchored out overnight 4 times - which is a record low - that I hope will never to be seen again.

Dock Mary...!

I'll have to check the log book to let you know how many days we left the dock. The 4 nights on the hook do not count vacation and picking up the new boat.

Why not?? A "Dock Mary" is someone who does not leave the dock - how one leaves does not matter.

rommer, I saw him rafted up with the Haverstraw guys over in Bowline. They had no stern anchors, I guess they thought the wind would never stop blowing - and when it did....

Well, you know what happens...

Mike.. we did have stern anchors out but unfortunately they didn't hold so well, the joys of Bowline. I recall you and your PB crew have some experience with that right?

I think I can still hear your boy Warren... "You need to break apart... You going to cause major damage"

No, I believe what happened at that raftup was someone pulled the stern anchors first, before we all broke up. End result, a couple anchors crossed over each other.

Maybe so Butch.. But I know Mike has experienced the joys of anchors breaking loose in Bowline.. More than once...

I think everyone has experienced anchors letting loose in bowline, not my top choice when staying out the night.
