So when does the shrink wrap come off?

Aside from the disposal fee my experience with them was very positive. Joe seemed like a really nice guy.

I am contacting the Service Manager today.. I'll let you know how I make out!

I can't be in the water until Garmin deliver my new 4208 GPS...

Talk about a " rip off" literally....Just got my bill for spring recommissioning and our friends at SS3 are changing me $125 to remove and discard my shrink wrap that I paid over $400 to put on. You would think for the price of the install they would remove it no charge.. The marina I'm "moving to this year will not charge for removal.."

Spoke with service Manager today.. said that this is a new charge that MM has told them to bill..Crazy!

Rommer,
My marina started charging "a diposal fee" a few years back, they charge a dollar per foot. I remove the shrink wrap, bundle it up and leave it at my boat, they come along and remove it. Personally, I think it is a rip-off, I would be more than happy to dispose of it myself.

Walter

Walter, just stick it in your car and stop at a "convenient" dumpster on the way home.

The more I read about your marinas, the more I like the marina I use. The rates are very reasonable. They let you do almost as much as you want, save for painting the bottom. Whatever you don't feel like doing, they'll do and they do good work. I hope they stick around for a while.

ok so last thursday was my splash date... came and went due to the weather....

So i get the call this afternoon boats in the slings there putting me in....

I haul butt from queens to merrick... boats still in the slings... WTF.... I see the serivce guys WTF...

They said the north wind ... yea so its wind..... u a bunch of sissy's afraid of some wind???

NO ROB... There's no water in the bay....

NO WATER IN THE bay FU.... I look over into the lift nothing but mud.... WTF.... dead low tide north wind ... no water in the bay....

Am i being screwed with or what ???????????

If it were possible DOn and walter would be at the top of the list for having something to do with this ....

So we do all over again tomorrow ....

Rob

Soon we will have meters on our noses and we will have to pay for air!

Im sure if they could they would ......

To be continued

Rob

So are thy charging your sling time by the hour or what. You think they would have looked outside before they moved the boat!

I am suprised they didn't drop it into the mud and start the engines, then charge you for running aground!

If we start paying for air, their should be a meter on Walter's A** and he should have to pay for polluting it!

Amazing. You would think they would have noticed beforehand.

I am envious though. I am at least 2 weeks from getting splashed and 4 weeks from being ready to go. Taking off Friday to work on the boat while the name guy paints her name on.

Sittin on an AMTRAK back to NY right now. It was a spring day in DC today. Really made me wish to be on the water.

Andy - you move your boat yet?

Hi rob, I was at the boatyard today and you were in the sling. Not sure if you went in today. Went to the Clam for lunch and she was still in the sling when I left at 1:30. I hope your bottom is wet. Gary See you soon

They're really good guys at the marina....

I like them alot ... they wanted the boat moved so they can complete the bottom paint ... get her into the sun to melt the ice etc.. so there were a few reasons.... the office saw the boat move so they just assumed it went in.....

I really do love them at BLUE WATER... They make u part of the family...

Rob
