We are going to try and get out there on Saturday and if warm enough possibly a night on the hook at Croton on Friday or Saturday night. Got the JETS game on Sunday.

Yeah, who wouldn't be boating? This is the best time of year!

Hell, christmas on the river is a tradition for me !

Striper season is right around the corner.......can't wait.

Pulled my boat out in December last year, probably the same this year.

I'm on track to have slept over 100 nights on the boat this year!

Rob;

I think I am, unless you know something I don't know.

Just curious. Usually Labor means to allot of people that the season is over.

We are planning on going for another month or so. But I need to start deciding where to put the boat for that long period of time until next spring.

Hey Rob,

You mentioned that you might be interested in transporting your boat to you house, I am looking into the same thing.

I want to store my boat in the parking lot of my warehouse/office so I can work on it during the off season. I have a ton of things I want to take care of and figure it will be a PITA to have to drive from Ramsey, NJ (work) to Stony Point to work on the boat for an hour or two a few days a week then drive home to Monroe.
Gonna be nice to walk out of the office and work on the baot in the parking lot.

Let me know if you need a Transport company, the guys at Penny Bridge turned me onto someone.

Leigh

Have you checked with Ramsey on what you plan to do? That town can be pretty anal about what they allow in parking lots. (At least they used to be like 15 years ago)

I'll let you know. Since the boat is going back in the water next year (AT SPBM hopefully) I can keep there or at Patsy's since I live around the corner anyways. I dont have much work to do except for getting the drives pulled and the Volvo bellows checked/replaced. Is Gene over at SPBM still?

No, Gene is long gone being replaced by Dave.

Dave's been doing a good job from what I can see and has been very fair to work with. They brought in one or 2 additional mechanics and they still have Eddie whom I consider to be one of the best in the area.

Ed has done work for me in the past and did a great job. I just did not know he was Volvo certified until now.

Rob;

You made me very nervous, so I "had" to take some time today and go and check on my boat.

Actually it was still floating, the river was like a piece of glass, Croton was completely empty, (except for me) and I couldn't get my boat to come down off of plane.

The only downside to the whole day was a stop at the gas docks, and $625.00 later, well . . [:-censored]

BTW gas at Haverstraw is $4.19 with discount.

We're still in but we come out for a short haul soon. Then, lots and lots of boating... We hope anyway!

Nice Dan and congrats on your retirement ! When you planing on heading south ?
