So Who is still boating?

Hey Rob, I'm not only still in, I'm playing "sick" on a regular basis. [:-sick]

Today the river was like a piece of glass, and they only ones out there besides myself were four old retired gentlemen in an old bayliner flying the Coast Guard Auxilary Flag.

Had to get in a day of boating before the rain sets in.

Anyone else hear Seatow giving the coast guard aux people a major a$$ chewing on the radio for waking Seatow when they had a boat on the hip this past weekend?

Walter was NOT a happy camper from what I heard.

We were going to take the boat out yesterday but decided to take the kids to the Bronx Zoo instead. The air was a little chilly for swimming. Looking at dropping the boat off on Oct 5 or 19th. Not sure - I guess will depend on the weather those days. We are probably going to dry dock it at Patsy's again for the winter and the way it looks probably all next summer.

And we all know that there is no such thing as a free launch!

Stony Point has slips. Perhaps not in the area you want but they have a fair number of slips in the north end of the marina.

Rob, what you are you talking about, with economy in the crapper, there will be open slips up and down the river next year trust me..

Just put the boat away and forget about it till next spring.. You will get something...

Rob, there will be slips on C-Dock as I have heard that a few boats are not coming back... Why tie up all that $$ just sitting on the hard....

When i was there it was just D and G that can hold the boat. I never went back again. I will probably just wait until spring.

I do not want to be where there are no kids around or an adult only crowd - I like the partying but with the kids it is just not possible. If I am on a dock (like I am now) its not fun just sitting on the boat. If the boat sells over the winter than all the better. Come spring it might be real cheap too.
