Supposed to snow this week...

I'm getting all my canvas replaced, so I had to get it uncovered. Last weekend was fine for working on the boat, got it all polished, going up today to clean the metalwork, install the zincs and antifoul the running gear.

Scheduled to go in next weekend. Long range forecast has a high of 50 and rain. I thinking I may wait. Doesnt sound like fun.

Damn, it was cold up there today! I worked about 2 hours scraping and wire brushing the rudders, shafts, tabs and swim platform brackets... Changed the engine room lights to LED's then packed up and came home.

Tomorrow doesn't look much better.

Got all the dirty work done..bottom painted, outdrives scraped & sanded 1st coat of paint on, trim tabs scraped/painted. Just need to put second coat on drives & replace zincs. But can't get a good enough day to wash & wax.

Managed to get most of cabin steam cleaned and ready to stock up on supplies.

From your comments about my fishing posts you must be a fisherman. Check out the site "Stripers 247.com". A friend mentioned it to me and it is good. Good current reports. I'll be out there as soon as it warms up.

Guys, I love your devotion to the good cause of boating. Please think about my suggestion to plan to come to South Florida for the last couple of weeks of March. You won't lose too much time in getting into the water and your lives will be extended, basking under wonderful sunny weather that is typical here at this time of the year. Believe Me, It Workks! Come to Fort Lauderdale and I'll buy the first round.

In spite of the bitterly cold wind, I got a good portion of the hull waxed, got the running gear anti-fouled and got the zincs on...

Got the second coat on the drives & two coats on the props. New zincs on trim tabs, will put the new ones on drives tomorrow after they are dried real good. Hooked up to power from my barn so batteries are are charging. Still no wash/wax. Boat mostly in shade...just too cold. Hoping to start around Thursday but weekend not looking good right now. Either way...boat gets picked up 4-4.

We have been in for 2 weeks, I fully expected to freeze our collective a*ses off but not so. The water temp is 46 degrees the reverse AC units are keeping the boat a balmy 78 degrees. I expected to wake up this morning to snow instead it was sunny but cold but not bone chilling cold. It really feels good to be back on the water. We leave tomorrow around noon. Back next Friday I have been working on small projects cleaning the interior had the rugs steam cleaned before we came down this week. The drippless system looks sweet and a dry bidge to boot.

Calling for rain and snow mix on Saturday with a high of 42. I'm going to postpone a week. It seems like it's never going to end.

I shooting for the 15th if all goes well shouldn't be a problem. I got my 8D battery out yesterday major PITA but thanks to friends why got it out quick. Putting the new one back in should be easy, it much easier to lower things the lift them:)

I'll be around next weekend if you need a hand. Don't forget to paint your chain before it goes in the water. Trust me, it's lots easier

I thought about doing it yesterday but it was to cold and windy. I'll do it next weekend or maybe during the week if I can steel a few hours from the Boss:) (the wife that is)

Calling for more snow on Friday. Up to 6 inches. Be careful if you have uncovered as I'm sure it will be very heavy if it comes.

You won't regret it. :D

Although I'm not sure they are ready for your sense of humor.
