What have you guys used to refinish these floors?

Our floor is in pretty good shape, i just would like to bring its life back out.

Any suggestions or thoughts?

Thanks
Ken

Murhpy's oil soap to clean. Clear water rinse. Even though Murphy's says not required, I found it always left a film if I did not. Follow that with Liquid Gold. Several coats. Allow it to soak in and wipe excess between coats. Eventually you will get an even sheen. I have used this with good results at home on heart of pine in rough shape while saving my pennies for a refinish.

CAUTION: It will be slick for a while.

Never Murphys oil soap.

If you ever want to recoat with urethane, you will be unable to do it without sanding if you have used Murphys oil soap on it before.

Don't ask me how I know about this for 1200 sq ft of oak flooring. Wish my wife would have read this first.

Disagree Robyns Nest. Teak is a naturally oily wood. Unless it is virtually destroyed, it cannot be poly'd.

I am sure you are correct regarding the oak.

I have a 1988 Mariner 32 with Parkay in the galley area. It is "Polly" coated in a high gloss finish. The Parkay in my boat appeares to be 12" x 12" Oak tiles, just like the ones at Home Depot or any other flooring outlet.

I cleaned mine and did a couple of coats of teak oil and they looked like new.
