The synthetic teak is in.

To be 100% honest, not sure if I like it, I think it needs to grow on me. The difference between my teek and Dave's is I have a boarder, Dave's does not. I am thinking I like his better.
 
I think it look great......with or without the border. It richens up the look of the boat. If I still had my boat...I would have done it also....I always wanted it.
 
It really does make the boat look very classy. Good luck with it Walter.
 
Walter, when i was looking at your pictures i thought they did a really professional job on the borders and think it adds alot to the appearance rather than just teak lines running out to the end of the steps.
 
Walter, yours has a wet look, I like it ;~)

Border and borderless look great to me. I'd have to flip a coin to decide what I like best.

Since you both have dogs, what is the story with scratches? Is the material resistant?

Seems to be Mark, You can sand this stuff and repairs are fairly easy.
 
I watched them sand all marks out of it. It's alot like wood.
Sure you don't want to sand too much.
Gizmo will be the true test, if he starts to scratch it then he will get rubber booties!

The Reason Walter has borders and I don't is they said they matched what the manufacturer does.
At first I liked the borders, but realize Walter has bigger steps and cockpit than me, so if you put it on the steps, its like half border, looks odd. I have a border on the swim platform. Concept of the border is to make it look like a finished edge like you had real teak. Both look good.
They also have different color teak and you can get white lines.
 
Don, you should do the floor of your mobile home so you feel like your still on a boat!
 
LOL......it already has wood floors in the kitchen and carpet in the living & bedroom area...........or I would have :)

You need to add a camera like Pascal has on his boat, would be entertaining.
 
WOW guys they look great I wish I could do that but it's not in the budget at this time.

Enjoy it really dresses up what was already good looking boats.
