The synthetic teak is in.

Loosk good guys, with and without the borders! I think real teak cockpits normally have the border, probably makes sense to protect the end grain on the real wood.

Guys,
Both boats look great. Really dresses them out nicely. Impressed at finish and the install.
Great luck and enjoy. Now you need new tables, chairs, lol

+1, Don.

Looking at the pictures of both boats it certainly looks like the installer did a great, professional job; not one of those 'it's close enough'. Looks like every cut was done to perfection. Having that guy travel to your site for installation was a good choice.

Both boats look great. What I really like is that there is no maintenance involved. Is there any fading projected over time or will it hold it's color?

He said no, but we will see.
On boat at Watch Hill, so initial feedback on it.
It does get hot, I admit that.
Not terrible hot, but it's hotter than fiberglass.
It's similiar hot to the trex on the dock.
It will scratch from dog's nails. So he is 65lbs and when he jumps on platform he digs in his nails.
Walking he is fine.
So solution will be to get some rubber mats, which I like anyway to cut down on the sand that comes in boat.
The scratches he makes are surface and sand or rub right out, but I don't want to constantly me sanding it.

He is coming back north in a few weeks, if you want it, I can get you the info.
Rough it out to get sq. footage and multiple by $42 to get cost.

Dave or Walter - next time I see you guys in Hemlock or WH I'd love to come by with my wife - I'm dying to put this on the swim platform, but she's afraid of it being too hot. I'm thinking the swim platform is always wet, so it shouldn't be an issue... Your boats both look fantastic. Congrats.

Again, he is coming back in a few weeks, so you want to get a hold of him before then.
I will be at Watch Hill all weekend, over in D22.
Come on by.
Or swing by AYC. Slip next to me in AYC is empty, so you can pull in and see it when it's at the dock.

None last nite.
Nothing now though I see some little gnats.

Dave, Walter

Both your boats look great!

Well gentlemen - it's been two weeks or so... are you still happy with the products? Is the heat manageable?

Heat is manageable.
I did pick up some mats and the dog is trained to jump on the mat to cut down on his nails scratching it.
It does sand nicely with 40grit, no issues.
It does get hot, but wife likes it, she is always cold!
It does not get so hot you can't stand on it, but it hasn't been that hot.
It is amazing how much sand I must of collected in the carpet, becuase every day I hose it off and the amount of sand I see in the scuppers is unreal. Normally that goes in the boat or in carpet.

Great, I get a new boat last week and now I have "wish list" already.

Both boats look awesome.
