So I get a call from my tenants the other day that someone vandalized my boat. I think the residents of Amity Harbor aren't happy that I rented my house...I really don't give a **** what they think. And security cameras are to be installed in the next few days.

Any ideas how to clean this mess up?

Wow, that sux. Gotta be kids.
I am sure compound will take it and some gel off, will need to wax good.
May want to call a pro.

Yep. I think a good boat yard or fiberglass man needs to fix this one.
Hope you had insurance.

Sorry to see stuff like this. Maybe check with surrounding neighbors and ask if they have any video...perhaps you'll get lucky.

why would anyone care that you renmted your house??

try Lacquer thinner.

Homeowners might cover it since its on the property.

I believe it's based on race...

Before you go too crazy try easy-off oven cleaner. Use the real stuff in the red and yellow can, not the enviromental blue can. That stuff is the best to get a painted name off a boat; can't imagine spray paint could be any worse. If you don't have insurance on the boat try your broker of your homeowner's insurance they may cover some off it, as the boat isn't in the water. Any chance you renter's wanted a better water view? I know a bad thought but one never knows.

Holy Crap.........Thats sucks Dan. I would try calling in a pro for some advice........Good Luck !!!

Depending on the type of paint used by the spray "artist" you may be able to take it off with paint thinner. Try in a small spot first. The paint thinner will also take the boat's stripes off too, so be careful on the stripes. Your boatyards paint expert will be able to do this for you. Insurance should cover it.

Buff Magic isnt going to do anything to that.

You need to go to an ace hardware or a janitorial supply store and ask for graffiti remover. Comes in a spray can. I had some graffiti on my old garage, used that stuff on a garage door (fiberglas) and worked well.

Im sorry to see that happen. PM me I know of a local place in Amityville that carries that stuff...

Add in red letters under the side windows "urban cruiser" and just go with it.

+1 this really sucks the cameras are too late and probably would not have helped if it happened at night you might have seen it happening but not likely would get a good shot of their faces. I would be on the phone with my insurance company.

I second the Easy Off. I never heard of graffiti cleaner but I'm a believer in chemicals. Try F&D I'm sure they have something. Good Luck!

+1 Bruce. I would try lacquer thinner first then try some of the others mentioned here if that is not enough. Though I have used it to remove enamel painted names, I would be real careful with the Easy Off.

http://www.graffitiremovalinc.com/ worth a look!

The longer you wait the harder it might be.

lacquer thinner is a good cleaning agent. When working on something like this, the thinner is going to spread the paint as you are trying to clean it, hence the thinner part of lacquer

That is an easy conclusion to jump to but is there any other evidance?? No Racist words I can see on the boat. Those types of attacs are ofern on the house itself. KKK in Amity Harbor in 2012 of all places!!!!!
