Folks,
Need some recommendations for a romantic waterfront dining place within 30mins of Huntington Station.

I am hoping this is a softball question for you guys on the south shore, Massapequa to Bayshore.

There's nothing that comes to mind in Cold Spring, Huntington, Centerport, Northport Harbors.

All the places I know are out east.

thoughts?

Lighthouse Lindenhurst
Capt. Bills Bayshore.
Old Dock Inn Kings Park.

Do you have to get there by boat?

No. Just looking for a nice, quiet, romantic seaside place. My knowledge starts at Moriches and goes east. A bit too far from Hunt Sta
Thanks

If your looking for old school ....Italian....romantic place. I suggest.... Per Un' Angelo .....in Wantagh. GREAT PLACE !!!!

all interesting...of those, who's go the better food?

While I'm trying to be romantic it can at least taste good, no?

lol

I'm going to stick to the seaside dining...I'm sure the food is great but its a bit far and landlocked.

I was thinking Fat Fish...but was thinking that was a bit far from Hunt Sta.

We're meeting there so I'm trying to be considerate.

Perry,
Port Jefferson is not that far, many choices of restaurants (Danfords,is on the water), but the stroll through town, after dinner, could be real romantic, woman like that stuff. After dinner you could first start by walking the pier where the ferry is, look at boats, get some ice cream in town, little nic nac shops, they use to also have a puppy store. You could really spend a lot of quality time (not just dinner) in PJ. The town is very exciting and happening Friday and Saturday nights. The energy level is very up, guarantee, she will love it.

funny, I took another woman there already. Yes, I was all that. They still have the puppy store.

thanks...very funny...

I guess its about the same distance from Hunt Sta..you are right about the walkabout

ok, that was supposed to say...it was all that...me, I hold my own...lol

Prime has great food, a very nice outdoor seating area for drinks overlooking the harbor, and it's minutes from Huntington Station. It is expensive, but worth it. Downtown Huntington Village is a great place to explore on a weekend evening as well.

thanks for the confirmation...I grew up in Huntington but was unaware of this place. Looks like its exactly what I was looking for...

although, the PJ recommendation was very good too.

It's the old Coco's, but completely renovated.

Before it was Coco's it was a sand and gravel yard. The parking lot across the street was a place called Schooners. Coco's bought Schooners to tear it down.

P.S. If it's a nice night you can take a walk north to the park behind the firehouse. Very scenic. I once hit a golf ball from the firehouse park to the west side of the harbor. I won $100 and still have the ball.

I was going to ask if it was Coco's Landing...unfortunately my knowledge of Hunting goes back to the whaling days as a kid in the 60s and 70s. Haven't spent much time there since college daze.

The park you refer to is next to Knudsens...if they're still there, yes?

Perry,

Yes, it is the park next to Knutsons (not being a smartass). This is the town I grew up in also during the 60s and 70s.

I thought it looked like coco's!
Wow, memories there.
Good place across the street, not sure if still there, Tuto pazzo or something like that.

So why do you need a romantic waterfront place?
Popping the question?

I used to peace out in what is now next to Prime in the parking lot.

Oh yeah, you mean the golf shot. Measures over 1600 feet
