I can't believe it but my marina and my friends there have known I fell on some pretty hard times late last year. Be it stress, health and lack of wealth issues it just seemed like everyday I woke up there was a new problem. I was reluctant to engage the marina because my boat had a fair amount of damage and I wasn't sure if the insurance money would cover it or if I should just give up the boat in search of a less expensive hobby. Well the marina had already started the major repairs and the boat will be launched by next Friday. I really don't want to say much other than I never realized how many true friends were there for me and my wife at the marina. The marina manager and all the employees told me I had done so much to help the marina and the marina community that they wanted to pay it back. They would only accept the cost of materials and -0- labor. The bow rails were all straightened as much as they can be until the fabricator comes in 2 weeks and replaces the entire bow rail system. Again I was told just pay for the materials. I really don't know what to say to the people and management at the marina? I started with shaking everyone's hand and thanking them. My faith in the human race has been restored at least when it comes to the boating community that surrounds my wife and I.
I hope that I wake up tomorrow morning and once I pinch myself I can realize this wasn't a dream.
What else can I say?
