I went to check on the lines to make sure they didn't strech. When I got there I found the the lines wheren't a concern the boat wasn't even floating it was sitting in the mud. I'm not a happy camping.

Ahhh....the fun of the Hudson. Just don't leave your A/C on...isn't too much fun when there's mud coming out of the raw water exhaust ports. There will be days like this but all in all it's not so bad. The atmosphere and people make it worth it...

I'm not sure how much more fun I can stand. It seems like every time I want to go out I have to wait. I miss my outdrives.

I told you about it last week, remember???

Dig yourself a nice hole now, wait until mid-tide, double tie the boat down and blow out your slip.

There's nothing like 18 feet of water under your boat! ;-) I don't even look at tide charts anymore.

that sounds a lot worse than we've had it on Lake Lanier the last 2 years! Even with all of our drought at least I've always had a minimum of 35 feet of water under my boat in the slip!!! I hope you get some increased tides soon!

Woody, it happens twice a day over there.

The good news is if you drop something in the water you can get it back with in 6 hours....

The bad news is, you have to spend your boating season dealing with it!

Depends, most stuff sinks deep into the mud.

Good luck.

You're kidding. I got enough problems with the Volvo drives. Now they are in the mud?

How long have you been at SPBM and how long have you been on this Forum...?
This subject comes up so much that I am in shock that you are surprised.

No in or out 2 hours before and after low tide. Get used to it or start looking for another Marina.

Probably still a few slips available on green dock. [:-devil]

Not gonna get a 44 Trojan Express on Green Dock, Blue or Silver is the only option...
I have a feeling He's not going anywhere, SPBM is the place to be, water or no water...

Rather not put the boat in the water if that was the case Pete. :)

Glad you said it Leigh and I agree with you a 100%

As another summer ex-haverstraw member SPBM is a much nicer, friendlier place to be. Sure it has some issues but we have been in both marinas like you and prefer SPBM.

Waterbaloon fights between marinas?

BTW - the extreme low water experienced yesterday is a pretty rare event. Requires the proper combination of factors. Happens less then once a year since I've been up here so this year is a major exception.
