Low tide today fell at a pretty bad time 6:30 PM. We got a late start due to the lawn mower being broken and finally got out there early afternoon. Had a great day on the water relaxing and doing some fishing. I caught a really nice rock. Don't ask me how, but I hooked a rock. My son managed to lose his bait at least 3 times so there was something down there.
Coming in at around 6:45 was probably not my best decision. Coming in was ok, but my depth gauge stopped functioning when it hit 2.5'. The transducer is probably 6" below the water and not adjusted to figure that in. Based on the fact that there are some pretty big boats on the same dock as me but the other side, I figured I could get in. Was I wrong. As I came to the turn into my dock, the mud started swirling up and then we stopped. Forward or back mud everywhere. I shut down the engine and attempted to pull myself to the dock, but I couldn't move it. I ended up having to raise the drive pretty high using the trailer button just so I could pull it over. I eventually got it into the slip and tied up. It measured 18" at my dock, not very happy about that.
Lesson learned - Try and listen better. 18" is 18" no matter how big the boat.

BTW - Nice meeting you today Rob. My kids were envious of your daughter's mist shower.
