It's warming, the winter is OVER!!! I'm thinking of taking the cover off this weekend - anyone with me???

I might just do that...for the old boat and clean her up for pending sea trial.

Will be doing the same if it is warm out :)

Not so fast rabbit!!!

I've got some things to do under the greenhouse before I unveil her.

Say Mike, do we have water access at PB for wash/wax. I'm thinking of taking the shrink off next weekend.

Unfortunately I'm working the next two weekends at boat shows. I need to get up to the big boat and rip out that damn orange carpet! But I won't get the chance for a couple more weeks...

Well Mike, we have already taken the 1st step and started putting some of the canvas back up. I'm strongly thinking of taken the shrink wrap off tomorrow. Have to get some heat on the cover so it will snap so will see how the day goes. The way it looks it should be off Saturday or Sunday. I do have some work to do yet on the boat so I will be there no matter what.

Hey I was looking at that Sea Hunt line they picked up at the marina. Perhaps that is something for you to get for the boys. They look like a nice boat and seem to be priced well. Tried talking Caryl into letting me get one of the fishing boats, well we wont say how that went.

Judy, water isn't turned on outside yet but bring plenty of hose and you may be able to run it to the shop. That is what I usually do.

I haven't seen the boat since November.
I feel bad about it, poor girl all alone for so long.
I may go down this weekend but will not be unwraping anything.. Actually, I don't even knows if they wraped her up... well I got billed for it so lets hope so.

I'm unwrapping the little boat tomorrow rain or shine........but gunna wait for another week or so to do the big boat. :) :)

Don't have to unwrap - but will go down and crank up the mains & the genset - do some cleaning, make ready for the spring service and the move it back home in 2 weeks :D

Unwrap this weekend...

Wax hull monday.... in the water by the weekend ... just in time for the rain!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm unwrapping the little boat tomorrow

You LICC guys must be slacking off, I thought this would comment would result in numerous comments.

OK, I'll start - Don, keep the little boat wrapped, otherwise, you many have many more baby boats on the way!

If we are lucky we get the new dink this weekend and that's as far as it goes. It'll probably stay in the box until the other one is sold..

Hogan, I got a good laugh out of that one :)

I'm leaving the wrap on for now, I think it makes it easier to work if the weather is lousy, can leave stuff out in the cockpit and not have to worry about tools getting wet or stuff blowing away. I was looking at the long range forecast and it's supposed to cool down again and maybe even snow in another week or so. Temps are still going to be cold at night too, Andy, do you have block heaters? If not you might not want to lose the antifreeze in the engines just yet...

I'll be at the marina tomorrow getting some more done on mine too.

John,
The reason its going to snow next week is because the cover is comming off the Caryl-d. It always snows once after the cover comes off. We have had it snow after we have been in the water.

I agree Butch, so let's get the covers off and get the snow storm done with!

Thats how I look at it. Do it now and the get it out of the way and get these dang boats in the water....

Hey, got a question as you guys rub it in about taking your covers off: the dealer in Cleveland wants me to leave the shrink wrap on for the transport out there; is shrink wrap tough enough to hold up on the highway? Will the vents eventually rip off at 55mph and have it start to shred apart?

When they transport new boats they are shrink wrapped but its the white stuff and they go all the way down past the waterline. Is the blue and the white the same mil?

Not that it will be my problem once he takes a right turn out of the parking lot but just wondering.

Unwrapped this past Thursday for the sea trial. Going to get her in MD in a week or two.
