No, no joking...My neighbor in the slip along side of me left several messages to Steve, who puts the boats in that where suppose to be from me saying I didnt want to go in till May 1st. Then he put messages on his boat asking for April 1st. He also put a score card saying Warren 2 Butch 0...But it will be along summer so the score will change....Have to say it was a good one but I would never let him know that. I just keep acting like Im mad about it...When you said that I figured you saw it, cant miss it when you drive in.
 
Nah, the ice was not that deep, like 2 or 3 inches. But it made me mad that I spent the most money I could with thier equipment, and it failed totally. On the bright side, I put 150 miles on the 212 today and it was a blast, gonna post a story in the Bayliner forum.
 
Well just to keep this going, Started waxing last night and getting ready to go down and finish today. Now if you will notice, I said I was going down. Yes really now I am doing it. Thought I would give Caryl a break this year, besides that, I am only doing the sides of the hull, still a lot of boat to go! And someone (name not to be mentioned) will have to do it.
 
Spent the night on the boat last night. First HRCC overnight of the 2007 season! (OK so I didn't leave the dock but I'm in the water! ;))

Spending the day getting some work done.
 
I'm jealous of you guys...I did stop by last night and enjoy the sunset from the deck. It looks like I'll have alot of time on my hand this April as my current contract is winding down..ok terminating on 3/31. Damn, I wish I could extend it just two more months.

Anyway, my goal for the SunRunner is simply to get it ready by 3/25 and then focus on the Silverton. The Silverton needs is a very, very good detailing. Not my favorite cup of tea, I'm even considering hiring it out....if I can find someone I can trust to do a good job.

Now that I know Caryl has been freed up....

Well Mike not to rub it in, Im done below the rub rail and as we are speaking the bottom is possibly being painted. Due the words Im ready to go in mean any thing. Only problem is will need the dingy to get out to the boat...And then we would have to dodge the ice flow...Sure felt good being down there in a T shirt working never less.....

Chris, trust me when In say Caryl has NOT been freed up. I left plenty for her and the kids...
 
Butch rather than spending time posting here, how about taking my canvas off and waxing my boat??

I shoulda taken today off to get it done...
 
Got my new cockpit enclosure installed today. What a great day to be working from the boat.

Drove by your boat Butch, she looks anxious to get in the water!

Ice went out from the main channel between Coeymans and Troy just last night. Another four or five weeks for me.

Talk about jinxing yourself! 4 to 8!!! Enough already! But after reading the forcast things don't look so bad.

At least the creek broke up and the ice is out. It's dang muddy but it's running again.
 
Dan, the problem is that even though we are in for the "post Butch uncover" snowstorm, my boat is still covered.

Once I get my cover off, we'll get one more, then spring will arrive.

I am hoping as in the past that they are wrong, but the boat is uncovered so get out the snow blower one more time.
 
mike... i'm hoping you fix all those holes in the canvas before you think of taking off the cover... the snow may pile up on that new wood floor and that would not be pretty for you with the Misses.....can't wait to share in those hot wings buddy!!
 
At least I don't have a huge gash down the side of my boat that needs to be repaired.
