Well what do you know..Looks like we are in for a beautiful weekend.. high 80's during the day.. Cool at night....

Anyone goinna be staying out on the hook?

Croton is looking good. Sw 5 to 10 knot wind..

Doing a Kingston run to see the fall colors. Why don't you come up?

Leigh, we'll be local, possibly anchoring out. Call me in 69.

I was supposed to go last weekend but they had no slips.. Might be a good idea... I have Monday off.. I'll have to run it by the boss...

John if you are traveling on Sat. we'll see you on the river. We heading south to tarrytown. If I can swing it perhaps we will hit an anchorage Fri. night with an early out tomorrow.

It's 84 up here now.

Heading up on Saturday Dan, what's your boat name again? (We are Wake-N-Waves)

Leigh, the 3 of you are more than welcome to join us on the trip. Relentless and Victoria Marie are going as well. Since Dan is going to be away we can borrow his slip!

I hate to say it but the fireworks show was very good. About all that was missing was the water fall and etc. off the new bridge. I'd say the Italian festival is off to a great start!
But, we have a new restaurant! Capuccinos is an italian place where the golden duck used to be. If the folks at plaza pizza (I think they are the same owners) are running this shop it should be good. Maybe we'll go there tomorrow and give you a heads up.
The steel house is still not on our list of dining for dinner. Lunch yes! But dinner no. Ship to Shore still rules.

John, don't forget to celebrate the one year anniversary of the drunken boater!

oooh, I wish I can do the fall run again with you guys.

John, don't be surprised if you're a bit disappointed in the colors along the River going north. We're still 2-3 weeks out from peak color along the shoreline. The Catskills will look pretty though - lots of red...

Then again, who cares? Its going to be 85 degrees out - go swimming!!! Lake Mahopac was 72 degrees today (water temp)!!!

Leigh, I took off Monday as well.. It looks like Mike is off too. We'll have to hook up if your around. We should be back on Sunday if all goes well.

Last I heard we are at Roundout but Rentless was going to call and see if the town dock had space. Haven't talked to him in a few days though.

He prefers to be referred to as, "avocado"

hmmmm....

Should I duck when I call him that?

So John when you pull out do you normally have your radio on?

Normally yes. Today was no exception but I was not scanning my channel list and was on 69. I tired calling you about halfway up but I'm guessing you past me in Haverstraw?

BTW - thanks for the use of your slip! ;)

John we hailed you as you went by us. We pulled in around 6 pm fri since noaa had severe fog warnings up. In hind sight we are glad we did. We were not in the mood for dragging the hook in fog. Saturday we were getting ready to head out for the next stop when we saw you pass by us in Blue 109. I should have hit 69 thinking you southerners like to hang out there.
Glad you got a good spot! Just watch out for that last step at the top. It probably doesn't line up with your boat too well or did you use them to preach to the rest of the folks on the dock?
Preacher John, can I get a Amen?

Must not have been us Dan as we didn't leave till Saturday morning to go up. Forgive my ignorance but blue 109?

Our friend Victoria Maria wound up with your slip thou we stuck our dinks there as well. Sorry about your stairs, guess we shouldn't have tossed em in the water ;)

Didn't see any drunks this year but we did watch a husband/wife team trash their swim platform backing into the piling at the back of the slip. A little hint for the people handling bow lines, instead of yelling at the person at the helm you might want to actually hand the line off to the dockmaster instead of making him yell at you to pay attention!!!!

All part of boating I guess....

BTW - Amen!
