2008 rendezvous

The Wye River has a good number of places for a raft up and is pretty central for most parts of the bay.

As C Spray eluded to for a upper bay raft-up location, Sue Creek in Middle River is a quiet creek with clean water that is nettle-free with room for a raft-up, plenty of depth and a variety of services (including a crab deck) if needed. Its just inside the mouth of Middle River, on the port side, Baltimore Yacht Club sits on the spit at the entrance to Sue Creek.

Let me guess, C_Spray, last time on lloyd's creek you sold an alternator belt to some guy whose wellcraft bowrider was in need?

Well - It might not have been the LAST time I was in Lloyd Creek, but I do recall that incident. I was happy to help, and even happier to recieve very prompt payment. I've since converted my engines to serpentine belts, so I can offer a great deal on three sets of vee belts: six 54.5" (four used, two new) and three 55.5" (two used, one new).

Wye River has AMAZING scenery/homes, but seems to be lacking any local services (if that matters to anyone), and Sue Creek is not exactly off the beaten path, but we're open to anything if it fits our schedule.

I still need to figure out why I went through two alternator belts last season; so when I see you out there this year, hopefully it won't be to bum a belt and a jump.

Well, I am interested! I know it is off of the beaten path, but what about the Bohemia River? It is a hike for some people but the rafting up can't be beaten and plenty of water too.

Anyone going to offer a consensus date and place? Boating season is upon us....

I like the sound of the season being upon us! Can we meet somewhere about halfway?

What the heck...BUMP!

Somebody said "halfway". How about Swan Creek or the Corsica? (both are near Rock Hall for those not familiar)

Wow, this is a lame thread this year. Please allow me to "bump" the thread yet again. Swan Creek in Rock Hall seems to be OK with some folks, so let's make that the spot. Now, what date?

No promises, but we're open:

July 26/27
August 2/3 and 16/17
Sept. 6/7, 13/14, and 20/21

How far is Rock Hall from Havre De Grace? I cruise at 30-35mph

Pending on the bay an hour to an hour and a half. We' re in pending on date.

Could someone post a map photo of exactly where it is? I see lots of skinny water around there.

Chris,

We're anchored in Swan Creek outside of Rock Hall right now. I don't like being crowded, so we're in about 4' of water intentionally (we only draw 18"). However, there's plenty of 6' and some 7' in here. There is no lack of deep draft boats around us. Here's the location via my SPOT unit (click the Google link for more information):
