BoaterEd Northern Chapter Getogether.(pics added)

Will call municipal marina today. What are the plans for Friday night? My wife and I will be traveling with another couple on a long-planned trip, so I don't know how involved I can be in the BE festivities, but I would definitely like to meet and hang out for a bit.

Suggested Agenda:

Friday evening..Kick back have a few drinks meet and greet everyone...

Saturday......(hook-up with Tang)...Cruise the River and around some Islands...Raft-up at the sand bar at Leek Island or somewhere else where ther are docks (American Side)...BBQ lunch on the hook or at a dock...weather permitting
Saturday evening...BBQ at the dock...few more drinks and enjoy the evening...If it rains there are lots of resturants around...

More suggestions?...

Joyce and I are heading out Sunday or Monday up the Rideau for 8-9 days so we will be out of computer
contact. We are good with any of the suggestions made so far. I can PM you with my cell # if you want. just let me know.

Hey Ray, how far up the Rideau are you going? If you go up to Merrickville or further, keep an eye out for me and come by and say hi, 34 Tolly named C-SHEL. I'll look out for your Tiara.

Shel- This is a longshot, but did you once own a 1987 Tiara named She Shell, which you sold to an auto dealer from Endicott? If so, I now own it.

Dana, that was a longshot. I have never had the privilege of owning a Tiara. I was in the market last year for a Tiara like Ray's, but that didn't pan out.

I thought it might be as I vaguely remember the guy I bought my tiara from (in Clayton) said that it was previously owned by a guy who sold it to buy a tolly. That, together with the boats names had me out there on that limb.
 
Ray, we may see you next weekend depending on if you go further from Merrickville or turn around and head back. I'd tell you to go to Burritts Rapids as there was going to be a new restaurant called "Lock 17" right off the lock, but unfortunately they are not open yet. Maybe another couple of weeks. They are going to cater to the boaters, they will have showers, supplies, ice, food, movie rentals, wireless internet, laundry, etc.

You will probably pass by my Father-in-Law when you head back to the St. Lawrence. He will be bringing up his new-to-him Carver 350 Mariner to the Rideau Lakes.
 
Ray, do you mean you are leaving to go up the Rideau this Sun or Mon for 8-9 days, or the Sun or Mon after the BoaterEd Northern Rendezvous on the 14th? My posts above are posted with the impression that you were leaving this weekend coming, but on second read that may not be the case. Anyway, if it is after the Rendezvous then you will see me on the Rideau as I will be heading down to the St. Lawrence then.

Were heading to Brockville for next weekend to see the Poker Run and Ribfest...Will be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday...
 
I plan on leaving Oneida Lake on the 12th.....spend the night in Oswego and hope for good weather on the 13th to cross Lake Ontario. I'll be somwhere in Alexandria Bay or Clayton for a few days.
I'll let you know after I make reservations somewhere.
