Ah guys, when I mentioned the Festival weekends I mentioned it as a nice time to meet in Gan. If you picked the weekend of the 8th, I would have come down by car. My 2 week vacation is starting on the 14th, and I'll be just entering the Rideau Lakes that weekend, nowhere near Gan. Sorry guys, I would really like to come.

Reservations made for Aug 14 and 15. Boat name "River Fever". We have a 48 hour window
to cancel in case plans change. Looking forward to hooking up.

I just made my Reservations...They are going to try to put us side by each, but no promises from them...I told them I would be arriving shortly after supper...If you get there before me, and we are going to be side by each...have lots of fenders out....10 or 11 should do it...(just kidding)...

I was SO MUCH looking forward to meeting some of you guys but my heads came in Monday and I WAS planning on it but after unwrapping them I discovered cracks in them so I had to send them back....another 10 days before I even get the new heads back.

Looks like ANOTHER few weeks before I get up and running....

Sounds like a bad season so far I hope the next set is OK and you get back out
on the water.
 
I just talked to them on the phone and they assure me that ALL the heads they send out are like that......(At which I laughed my a$$ off) and that they weren't cracks but rather "Heat Checks"..
I don't think they want to do business with me because now they say when they get their heads back they'd rather just refund my money. I told him that's okay with me and I'll get another set next week here locally. Twice the price but oh well.

If the weather is nice,and we decide to do a cruise, do you want to be picked up somewhere like mybee A Bay and do a cruise with us?...As long as we don't land in Canada during the cruise you are good to go as far as the other issue...
 
Sure do.....I'm thinking about searching around fora spot up in A-Bay for a couple of days. I guess the first thing will be to get my other engine back together and make sure all is well with the boat. I'll stay in touch.
 
Let us know...If your not ready to come by Boat, drive by car and you could be picked up...
I would have to check in with US customs to do that, but I'm willing to do that if you want to attend...

Hey guys! It's been some time since I've been on here, but it sure is nice to see a little space on Boatered dedicated to us St. Lawrence/Great Lakes folks!

My boat is still on the hard. My parents sold our family cottage where we typically kept the boat and we've been, well busy with other things, so the boat hasn't been near the water yet. Still trying to sell too.

Hopefully, if the stars align, we'll be in the Islands over August, so maybe we'll stop by and say hello.

I didn't think it rained in Gananoque.

Do we want to hit a local restaurant for dinner or cook out at the dock? Joyce and I like either option.

It seems like the sun never comes out in Gananoque..Or at least this summer...

Lets plan on a cook out at the marina unless it rains in which case we can hit a local restaurant...

What about a cruise, if the weather permits...Where would you suggest?...

I know a couple of strip clubs nearby! Oooops this is a family thing right? [:-devil]

We might try to make it but we'll be coming by car.
