Sounds like you got out just in time.

I predicted it would take 3 years for the place to melt down.................

Was i right?

Spot on Jonathan.

We've only been at Patsy's for 2 days but Mike and Jim have already made us feel like family. Even got a wake up call this morning.... ;)

Do they put mints on your pillow at night, as well?

Here's what I've decided.

My first choice is Penny Bridge, but since they're full we'll be going to Patsy's.

So now the question is where at Patsy's do we want to be? Where do the fun, family types hang out? Jimmy's got several spots open.

This is our first year at Patsy's as well so I can't tell you who hangs out where yet but I agree with Robyns Nest that the northside by the pool and snack bar is a good move, that's where we went.

Not that I'm aware of but they do offer a turn down service.

Is that a turn down service a shove into you boat after a good night partying?

Just joined Patsy's too and were located (boat should be in the water in two weeks) on the second dock closest to the pool. Two young kids and we like to party....

Now thats a call I dont want to have again...

It is interesting reading about the different marinas. Where I am, Englewood, there is no pool, or store, or anything like that. I don't know that we would really use it though, we tend to go to the boat and leave the dock. I guess that might be different if there was a reason to stay at the dock.

When we first got the boat we looked at some of the other marinas but decided on our current one mainly because of the distance to our house.

We do head up to Croton quite a bit, so in hindsight maybe it would have been better to stay up that way...

There is allot of "Dock life" in this area. Meaning that allot of boaters spend the entire weekends on their boats even in the docks. The extra amenities make for better atmosphere for this. Especially with young kids and families.

When I had my 27 footer I received a call on Columbus day weekend That the stern was sitting low in the marina. One of my dock mates got on the boat and there was knee high water in the cabin. Turns out the itermediate had deteriated enough that water managed to get past the gasket and with no battery charger, the battery died and down she went. Thanks to the crew at Penny bridge they managed to get the boat out and pickled the engine right away. Damage to the interior was minimum.

Now the insurance company was another story. I was accused of sinking the boat for a lousy $5000. 00 claim. Seems the adjuster who failed to show up 3 appointments made a false report on findings and claimed there was no reason for the sinking. He also stated the boat showed no signs of sinking since I had cleaned the interior due to the long delay in his showing up to look at the boat.

I had an investigator question everyone involed, he then came to my house for an offical statement. When he arrived he asked if I had anything to say before the offical investigation started. I told him I had nothing to hide and if I was going to sink my boat I would not due it in its slip, that they would still be looking for it. We then showed him our appointtment book that showed the adjuster did not come when he was suppose to and pointed out that some of the pictures showed proof of my cleaning the boat. I then took him outside and shoved a screw driver thru the area where the leak was. Three days later I received the check...
