Numerous boats on fire...north end Haverstraw

Your right we are wrong to accuse anyone but the facts are pretty obvious.
Boat for sale.
Not selling.
Crew not paid.
Owner upside down.

If I was the insurance company I would be digging pretty hard to prove arson.
Boat was pretty well engulfed so the halon did not extinguish it.
Burned from bottom up so fire started in engine area.
Right there I would look.

Other than the crew pay it sounds like a definition of Boat Ownership :D

I was told it was "On Your Mark" - the Journal News also refers to a "4 deck boat".

Dave, word is that the crew was not paid last year, so they left the boat and smashed out the windshield. Also heard, they owed Haverstraw for the slip.

It's not really such a big leap!

Got some inside info, His slip was paid in full.
He also told his Insurance company that the fire was Havertsraw Marina's fault...

Looks like the police are already looking into this:

"The Piermont, Haverstraw and Stony Point fire departments responded. Westervelt said the Rockland Sheriff's Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation was looking into the fire.

The boat where the fire began, called "On Your Mark," has been listed for sale and valued at several million dollars, Haverstraw Police Lt. Martin Lund said.

"We're investigating all aspects of the case," he said."

Drove by yesterday I think on your Mark is closer to the road like two finger away. This stinks the boats survived a storm and then burn up in a fire. I hope everyone is OK and no one got hurt.

Mike that's a big leap I hope or do you know for sure that is the boat on fire?

"On Your Mark" moved closer to the fuel dock last year, they even installed new piling for her...

Yes I know this, I noticed it was back in it's slip yesterday. I thought the pictures where taken from the road and the angle wouldn't add up but as it was pointed out they were taken from the peninsula this makes sense.

We use to have a direct view of "On Your Mark" lit up at night time.
She reminded me of a floating Vegas casino.

Those recent pics you can see the owner. Doesn't look too upset.
I think I would cry!

Given that interior I'm thinking sobs of happiness Dave.

Even Vegas casinos aren't that ugly and tacky!

He was asked by the marina to take it out to ride out the storm. With the size of that boat they were worried that it could damage a lot of other boats if it broke loose.

Is there a difference in Local knowledge as compared to nothing more than rumors or gossip?..
