My one concern with this ad is while it is very transparant and really view the truth i dont see they advertise anything about the dredging ao it makes me think they dont have deep water!!! :-)
 
I thought the restaurant was condemned? 400 Slips? Really?

Love the "easy access, in & out". They must be talking about the parking lot. ;)
 
Rommer it is easy in and out by car no one said anything about a boat!
 
SPBM, does have a restaurant, however it doesn't say its open. And they do have room for 400 slips, however 1/2 are not installed.

Dave is BACK!! Great, But what does that mean????

Pool is open, bring your own chair if you want to sit down....

I have no idea, but he's back! If that doesn't cause SPBM to fill all their slips, I don't know what will.
 
You probably know Dave you just didn't know that you do. Dave used to be the manager a few years back he a decent guy and knows the business I was happy when he was there. He most recently worked at West Marine where most of you probably met him but had no idea who he was.

BTW, His boat was damaged pretty bad in the storm and I watched him restore it himself. I must say I was impressed he did a great job! He even repainted it himself and there is no way I would have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eye.

I was just down there and they are putting new tables, chairs, and lounges around the pool. In the rain. Yesterday was the first day the pool was open and they only had some of the old chairs out. They have done so much in reconstructing the place I don't think a one day delay at the pool is a problem. There are not enough boats to fill up 400 slips. If Pennybridge and Patsy's closed there might 175 boats total at SPBM if they all came here. Lighten up.
 
Well SPBM had some penny bridge boaters looking at slips because we were told penny bridge still have slips to repair, so they are looking to move.
 
Anyone jumping ship at Penny Bridge has not been there or talked to them. We are about 75% repaired. A and B dock is complete. C and D dock are in, some pilings are missing so fingers are not installed yet. We have power to B and most of C Dock. We have boats on A,B C and D dock. We have most of the boats that can be launched in the water. One thing for sure. Penny Bridge will be around for a long time.
 
OK. I have to weigh in on this one. I have defended SPBM for ever because I believe they were getting way more of a bad rap then they deserved. However, that add was very misleading and should not have been placed. They do not have a restaurant, they do not have 400 slips and it is not easy access. If I saw that add and spent one of weekend days coming to check out a potential new home for my boat, I would be quite mad when I arrived. They have a lot going for them but they are way off base here.

I gotta agree, the ad was misleading and innaccurate. Who cares if "Dave" is back?
