Weekend weather

Don,
No, outdrives are not on yet, so it the water gets that high, I am screwed. The drain plug isn't even in yet. I don't see that happening, but I can see it going over the concrete line on the dock and I have seen that before. Then it usually runs into the street which is lower than the bay at that point. If the high winds, blew me off the stands, that would be bad too, but I don't see that happening.

I think I am fine, but would like to hear reports. If anyone needs help, post here, I am willing to come out and help anyone. Looks like the worst will be tonight, so don't get lulled in by this wimpy rain.

Dan,
With an east wind where does that hit ur boat....

Then tie accordingly..... A north or east wind is on the low concern scale for me... anythingout of the west... well NOT GOOD ... my dock is wide open to the west.....

So thats how u have to look at it.. wind direction and exposure

WOOOOH.....gettin windy out there !!!!

Dave....just kiddin with you.....you should be fine. If the tide gets that high...we have major problems on the south shore. If you want...I can run over there later and check for you & Walter. Save you a trip.

Just hope we don't get a strong wind out of the east tonight.....it keeps me up against my poles.............

Rob...... have you checked your boat yet !!!!!

I know. You don't have to check, should be fine. Let me know if you need help. Thanks.

yeah.....I just realized....were out of coffee. If you could bring me a large coffee with cream 1 sugar.......and a buttered egg bagel.....that would be nice!!!!

Sure no problem......and can you got to my boat and double check that my holding tank is empty....stick your nose in there, cuase its hard to see from above.

Thanks. Coffee is on its way...

PS. If its easier I can ask your wife to pick you up a cup, she just left.

Don,
Sugar, buttered egg bagel....gotta watch that cholesterol, if you go, who will we abuse...oh yeah, we still have Walter....where is he today...perhaps your wife stopped to see him too!

I kid you not and you cannot make this stuff up - our new dog who we rescued from a high-kill shelter a few months ago and were told was spayed went into heat on Wednesday. There are clearly no guarantees in life. How afraid should I be, and does Walter give any advance notice before...?

What type of dog? Our new pup also came from a high kill shelter. He has not been netuered yet, gotta wait 6 months.

Isn't that the same shelter where Denise rescued Walter ????

She found him stray on the street.
He was eating out of a garbage can behind some nudie bar in West Babylon.

Dave,

Here she is. She's a 1 or so year old german shepherd and collie mix. She came from South Carolina, to New Jersey, to us. She was just about to be euthanized. She's a real sweetie and a mush, but very bright as well. We never thought we could fall in love so quickly again after losing our 2 mutts who also came from shelters just a few months ago after having been with them for 16 some odd years, but we did. She was represented as having been spayed, but obviously she wasn't, so we'll be going through that with her as soon this ends. Not fun, but necessary. BTW, she hates this weather too! Yours is a real cutie. I would have loved a puppy, but I fell for her hook, line and sinker.
