Who's unwrapping this weekend?

Looks like Phil was wrong again.

Maybe they should feed him some hot wings before they pull that rat out of his little house on Feb 4th.

Maybe then he'd get it right.

Jonathan

Jonathan I have already gone on record sponsoring a Ground Hog Fry.

Thats the problem Jonathan, ground hog is February 2nd!

Damn rodents!

Ok,

That's the problem, they took him out 2 days too late.

Dan,

I'm sure Phil would fit in a turkey fryer, bet it tastes like chicken.

Snow was not in my plan for this weekend. After a fun Sunday putting in a new water heater I was really looking forward to working in the bilge!

Jonathan

Regardless what it tastes like (ok within reason) it will be satisfying! While most things taste better fried I'm wondering if beerbutt groundhog would work out.

hmmm... beerbutt... I like to eat "higher on the hog" so to speak ;)

Is that the same as beercan chicken?

Never had one of them there beercan chickens yet..............any good?

Jonathan

We make beercan chicken all the time, it comes out great, moist and flavorful.

BTW - Butch I blame this snow on you!!!!! Now we have to wait for one more snow storm after Mike takes his cover off. Damn you!!!!

So you stick a 12oz up the butt and then what????

Budweiser or Coors???

Jonathan

No its actually Mikes fault. He was suppose to take his cover off last week as well but he used his canvas as an excuse not to. Now we have to look at another storm!

Actually it wasn't flavor I was looking for when I made the suggestion but you probably realized that. Jonathan after positioning the can shake vigorously. Wait 20 seconds and then release Phil. Hopefully he flies around like a balloon that was released without a plug. By the way, don't use any beer better say than Piels or perhaps Carling Black Label.
Up here we've probably had about 4-6 inches already. I went down to the boat last night and checked the stands since the weather was so warm. I figured I'd find a loose stand or two and did. The snow had just about completely melted. Even in the shady spots.
It's gonna be a while longer before I have to worry 'bout waxing.

"Who is unwrapping"

Me, unwrapping the darn driveway snow melter spreader bag again!

John, as I am writing this, I am on the boat, uncovering it. Damn, it's cold, but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do!

Are you gonna help Butch shovel the foot of snow off his boat afterwards?

Hope y'all don't mind someone "from away," breaking into the forum here but I was in Albany Thursday dodging industrial rain showers and sampling fine scotches at Jacks down near the Pepsi Arena. Couldn't help but notice some crazy water running down the Hudson carrying some good sized trees, pieces of dock and what appeared to be an occasional refrigerator. Is that common each spring during storms and snow melt? Does is mess up your launch time for you river guys? Is this a common river height for this time of year? Hope today's storm doesn't make things worse for you. And Hogan - where do you get those wings? Jacks doesn't have good wings. Neither does Maine... And put your cover back on! Crummy weather travels west to east and we're getting slammed right now. Damn cover...

Yes Riverbed, that's all the goodies we get to dodge down here in the lower part of the Hudson. Happens every year with the spring thaw and then after every heavy rain storm we will get some. Now as far as the weather goes, looks like we ended up with over a foot here by us. Hoping less down at the boat but doesnt sound it so guess we are going to have to get down there and clean the boat off. I would say we are safe now but Mike still has to get his cover off. Hum, wonder what the odds are at his keeping it on this season. Mike, can you open the cover by the helm so you can see where you are going or will you need to take an updated course on blind navigation?

HAPPY SAINT PATRICKS DAY!!

Top o' the morning!
I shoveled our walk last night and I can't tell I did it. That, and there's a big snow drift on the deck where my grill used to be.
Riverbed you know it's serious when the cattle are swimming for shore.

We did the driveway 3 times last night, speaking of snow drifts. They are all in my driveway. Oh well CARYL has her work cut out for her.
