Who's unwrapping this weekend?

We just finished the deck. It took the both of us about half an hour to unload the drifts on a 10x14 deck. It was really difficult keeping her busy. All the whining makes me turn down my hearing aids.

Riverbed, I make my own wings, homemade Jamaican Jerk Sauce and/or Franks Hot sauce.

Butch, now you got me thinking about keeping the cover on all year. I could get some windows for the bow...

Mike

Didn't you say you wanted to sharply hone your RADAR reading skills? I say you leave the cove on, put foam blocks around your boat so that docking doesn't disturb your neighbors and head on out. Besides, you did say your longest trip was to the Westchester Riviera this year!

I've had it with this snow crap. We had about a foot then it turned to sleet/rain which packed things down a bit then another 4 to 6 on top of that. Nothing like hard crusty snow to play with. SIGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!

Even the snow blower is unhappy this morning.

I just came in from removing all this snow from the driveway and I can safely say, MIKE, YOUR DAM COVER ISNT COMMING OFF! Now Im heading to the boat to check that out...

Just came back from working on the boat, sitting down to a nice Corned Beef and Cbbage dinner.

Happy St. Patty Day all!!!

Jonathan

18" of the white stuff here. Should be real interesting around here by this time next week with temps in the 50's.

Albany outdoor show attendance suffered today and we are being told that the Upstate Show in Glens Falls was dead last night and only moderate traffic today. I don't envy the guys who have to clean up all of the boats after coming in off the crappy roads after the shows.

Riverbed, Yeah that is the case around here this time of year. The Mohawk was flooding pretty bad middle of last week due to ice jams and it all comes past Albany. Come back in May and it's a different story. The fridge must have been out of beer. Jacks - local landmark good place to go for steaks etc. but not good for wings. Next time your going to be in Albany let me know and I can clue you in on a few better choices.

Ken I was thinking we dodged a bullet last week with the warm weather knocking back the snow cap. If we just get warm weather that will be enough. So far it seems to be melting pretty quickly down here but the mountains are another story. The Rondout reservoir is hovering at the action stage .

I've never seen as much sleet all in one storm as we got from this one. I think we got 5 inches of sleet on top of 7 inches of snow...

With all my fancy lawn and snowblowing equipment, I had to give up. I even was almost stuck in my 4x4 trying to get out today. I went to work, and my wife hired somebody with a big plow to clean the driveway. Its still a sheet of ice, but at least it can melt with a couple of nice days...

Let it Melt, Let it Melt, Let it Melt. The weateher outside is warming, and the snow outside is melting.

Thats the song I will be singing for the next week. Enough already. Put the darn boats in the water and let spring begin....
Stopped at the boat yesterday and shoveled the bow off, only problem was the 3' of snow in between the boats. The blacktop is warm yet so it seems to be melting fast.

Chris, This was the message I found on the side of my boat...

KD - I'll take you up on that offer. I get back to the Albany area every 3 to 6 weeks and always thought that section of river looked interesting around Green Island and the Troy waterfront plus the Mohawk looks great as it winds around/under the northway. I suspect you've got some good marinas/waterfront restaurants thru there, eh? Wish I had time to make the trip from here, thru LI sound, up the river into Champlain, thru Montreal and back down the coast. May be when I hit the lottery and get some free time...

Butch that looks like a class 'A' prank that deserves retaliation. Do you need ideas?

Dan,
Trust me when I say its already in motion....

Is that why you were drilling all those holes in the hull of the boat next to you? ;)

John, On the grounds that I could incriminate myself I cant answer that...

Damn weather - Was supposed to be in the lower 60's this weekend and now upper 40's. Eisenglass is going to be stifffffffffff.

I'm going to leave my warp on for a while longer, however, the winter cover will be off this weekend!

I was going to factor nine but I didn't want to push the engines that hard. Scotty gets really p.o.'d when we go that fast.
