I'm sorry to see that you were really so unhappy where you were, I do hope your new home is all you hoped for. It looks like the mirror slip to where you where. The staff there is great and I'm sure you will make friends with you new dock mates several of them used to be with me when I was on C dock a nice group of fellows.

It's all good where ever you go. I was in Stony Point for over 23 years, fourth year down at Liberty Landing now, sometimes it's good to get a change of scenery and do different boating from what we did.
We all manage to meet up either in the yard, at anchor or at marinas, it's always good to see old friends and people we've met over the past 25 years of boating.

We refused to have any more money stolen from us by the wonderful operators at SPBM. Seems a paid in full receipt means nothing to them and with an attitude like "take us to court if you don't like it" they can rot in hell before they will get even a dollar in a soda machine from us. You don't go back on a deal AFTER the season is over, confiscate a customers boat without due cause and then extort money from them so they can get it back. They refused to repair the hole they put in our cockpit floor when we tried to support them with winter work oh and they padded the bill for an extra 5 hours over and above what it took to do the job, destroyed a tire on one of our trailers when the owners snot nose kid dragged it from one end of the marine to the other while it was flat, moved one of our boats in such a way that it filled with water and corroded the wiring, (you don't put a boat bow down on a hill genius), the list goes on and this is just a small sample.
The place goes down hill every day and they stopped investing in any upkeep. They only work that gets done is when the insurance company threatens to cancel coverage and they are forced to spend a dollar or 2. They don't fix any damage they cause, telling people to put the claim thorough their own personal boat insurance.
Am I bitter, you bet. We tried very hard to support the place so that we could stay close to our friends but it just isn't worth it. My advice to anyone considering the place is to look at how many empty slips they have in the summer as well as how empty the yard is during the winter and ask your self why. The roughly 160' of boat that left G-dock this year speaks volumes not to mention the 200+ feet of G-dock boats that winter in marinas other than SPBM but hey what do I know...

Here's what I've decided.
My first choice is Penny Bridge, but since they're full we'll be going to Patsy's.
So now the question is where at Patsy's do we want to be? Where do the fun, family types hang out? Jimmy's got several spots open.

Go closer to the pool, bathrooms and snackbar (Northside) if it was me.
There is a 20 something on your side Rob and the following boats are the ones I know of on the outside, Knot Yet, Chella Bella(sp), Tom with the Sea Ray, and of course us. That's actually around 185' of boat. As for the winter boats that go elsewhere I'll keep that to myself as I don't want to cause them any issues but mark my words, the marina will have different summer rates for people that winter elsewhere. (Quite surprised they haven't started that this year in fact.) I've also heard from several people who admit that this is their last year at the marina as well.
