SPBM

I'm glad that I'm at a marina that is already rebuilding and is hell bent on coming back better than ever.

I wouldn't want to be in a position of hoping that I had a slip next year, only to find out when it's too late, that I don't.

I was not planning on renting it out. I just may have a 40 foot finger to tie my dink up at. Renting it would be in complete violation of the rental agreement and could cause me to loose the slip.

What new boat are you thinking of?

As we all know from the past, what Wayne does and what he says are two different things.

The undamaged boats can't wait to long to have a slip for a 2013 summer season. If Wayne wants to retain any of the boats he had last season, he'll have to move NOW to show he is rebuilding, or the boats will go other places.

What's your thoughts

Go down there and see what is going on at SPBM. Wayne has heavy equipment there putting debris into 40 yd containers. Pieces of docks and floats that are salvagable are stacked up. Most of the boats that floated are back on stands and blocks. Doesn't look like he is abandoning the marina to me. There were so many empty slips this season due to the economy being down, I'm sure next year there will be a good choice of slips for all who want one.

how do you lift the boat once it's sitting on the ground? I know it can be done but how do you get the straps under it?

It is a many step process. Sometimes it can be lifted with a hydrolic trailer, other times they put a strap thru the bow and/or stern eyes (D Rings) and lift it up with a fork lift and then block it so the straps can go under the boat. It is a long process but it does work.....

Not sure yet what I will look at, but an am pretty sure that my boat will be totaled...

Bill-I highly suggest you look at the 2008 Silverton 36C. Let me know if you want me to help you search for one. :)

Just got a call from the Marina. The boat is fine. Thanks to Mike (Party of Five) for his help and Thanks to the staff at SPBM for taking the time to let me know that it's ok. I know they have thier hands full right now.

Well now I have 2 boats that I should think about, and do I want gas or diesel.... But first I need an insurance check... :--)))

You had plenty of time what was the hurry? Are you afraid of a little snow:)

How did you do in the storm? Where was the boat?
Looked like a bunch of boats where swept away not sure if they went further up on land or out to sea.

George how does it look? I noticed your boat on land still tied to the dock it was attached to but I didn't see too much damage all things considered!

But fixable and may even get a nice new black gel coat:)

rb2@gr5twciparchia... Last I heard, the talk on G-Dock was that you were going to Haverstraw... Is that still the case or did you get cold feet?

Hey Leigh, sorry to see the damage to your boat.
