Hey, got a question as you guys rub it in about taking your covers off: the dealer in Cleveland wants me to leave the shrink wrap on for the transport out there; is shrink wrap tough enough to hold up on the highway? Will the vents eventually rip off at 55mph and have it start to shred apart?
When they transport new boats they are shrink wrapped but its the white stuff and they go all the way down past the waterline. Is the blue and the white the same mil?
Not that it will be my problem once he takes a right turn out of the parking lot but just wondering.
Many boat tranports don't want the liability of the shrink wrap tearing off and causing an accident on the highway or any damage to the boat.
No unusual. The new boats from the factory have really good shrink wrap jobs done to them to minimize this problem. The truckers have been burned too many times by crappy wrap jobs over the years so they insist on no wrap.
