SPBM

I'm sure if I look hard enough I can find the PM or email you sent but it went very close to this, "I don't want to tell people what the place is really like because if no one goes there my slip fee's might go up." Or did you forget about that little tidbit?

Rommer funny how when you twist what people say it sounds very different from the truth! If I said anything that even resemble that it was in jest, I did say if more people came Wayne may have even more money to invest in and fix up the place. I have never been worried about my slip fees if I was I can assure you I wouldn't have moved to Haverstraw. You have had a hard on for me for years and frankly I given up caring. I have bent over to be nice and you have ignored my comments I have never done anything to you except offer my best wishes and yet you have tried to knock me any chance you get.
I once again will offer my best wishes and move on because talking to you is like talking to a wall you hear what you want and then pass judgement without facts.

You said what you said and it showed your true colors. No twisting of words at all.

Anyway, back on topic.

Since someone said Wayne is planning to use cement docks, how did the existing cement docks hold up on D dock vs the wood docks? Any better?

Once again you dismiss me but most here know my true colors I'm the guy many people turn to when they have a problem or need a hand with anything I'm the first one to help. You on the other hand are the first one to complain and bitch about things! I have plenty of people that know me well and would not agree with your opinion!

As for the docks I think the all did about the same. I will say when my jetski blow up I was laying on the cement docks thinking how glad I was the cement won't burn. Although I couldn't open my eye's and barely able to breath at the time those were among my first thoughts! As it turned out there was no fire so it didn't matter. I don't know if I liked those docks but if Wayne feels he can build them quick then so be it. There is going to be a shortage of slips for the next few years. I really hope all the marinas are able to rebuild and are better then before if not "the price of my slip might go up" that was just for you Rommer so now you can say that I really said this:) Only this time I might actually mean it! I think the price of slips could really sky rocket if the marinas don't rebuilt quick.

I agree with the slip issue however their are alot of damaged boats which i feel are going to be out of the water, due to the shortage of mechanics and fiberglass people in our area. Lets hope not but i don't have high hopes.

I think you are right about repairs. I am thinking it may be several years to repair all of them.

Now, now boys, lets play nice.

We are all here for a commom reason, boating.

And Dave, I took the slip right behind you for next season. I'm trying to get closer to the main dock, only for my son, but if I can't I'm in 134

Wayne when I took that slip I thought I too was going to try to move closer to the main but once you are on the boat it's nice not having as much traffic. Also I like the silver docks that were added to the end of blue they are quieter. How old is your son? There are a bunch of kids on the dock of various ages. I'm sure you will enjoy the marina and feel welcome even if you are blocking my view:) Last year your slip was called the playground because everyone kept their toys there, dinks jetskis and the like. Speaking of which I planning to sell my jetski in the Spring if anyone is interested $6700 with the trailer Seadoo GTX with 215 hp fast and fun.

Wayne told me the MudCat was being delivered Tuesday of this week, anyone see any action up there ?, has it been delivered?

Dredging is complete, MLW is now 10' from the channel through the marina.

New docks and pilings will be installed next week. New electric, free cable TV and wifi will be in place by next season.

Pool and poolhouse redone in Italian marble.

Restaurant rebuilt, one of the Iron Chefs will be cooking there next year.

Condos (free for those with boat slips) will be finished by July 1, 2013.

Hogan,
Are you saying that my slip will not be ready by April 2013? What will I do? Oh what will I do?

I also heard they will be building an infinity pool. But I think that will only happen when they rip the pool out all the way to the bulk head. There is your infinity pool.

What color is the sky in your world?

Ken,
You are asking the wrong person the color of the sky. You should be asking Wayne that color.

Maybe if we all light some candles the marina will be rebuilt in time for spring?

Was your slip at Haverstraw damaged?

If anyone who has been around long enough in Stony Point believes what is said to be done and what will be done, then I would like some of those meds you are taking so I won't have to watch the harsh reality of life flash in front of my eyes............

Its really a shame, a lot of us had some of the best times of our lives at SPBM.
Some of the menbers go back 10-20 years or more.
People move on for all different reasons, its sad destruction is one of them.

I was there for over 10 years and yes had some great memories! The destruction was wide spread throughout the region it will take years for live to return to normal!

I can't imagine this coming boating season being normal, especially
if we have a bad winter. There is so much damage to some of the marinas
i just don't know how in the world they can possibly get them back to operating
condition as we know it. I hope I'm wrong because I know some here will go off the
deep end (pardon the pun, couldn't resist) without a boat in the water for a season, but
more so because it is peoples livelihood and I would not want to see them hurting
financially. For us at PB I (we) like Mike, Ginny & their team very much and want them
to rebound better than ever. They run a nice marina are good to their customers
and very good to their "home team" of members and I very much want them to come out on top of this!!

However...anybody know where the heck we will buy fuel this year??
